3. GENERAL EXPECTATIONS OF SOIL SCIENCE GRADUATE STUDENTS
Meet all formal requirements of Department and Graduate School.
Regularly attend seminars, especially those given by other Soil Science graduate students. Include seminars given by other departments as appropriate.
Attend all classes, provide notice beforehand if absence is anticipated, or provide explanation after if absence was not anticipated.
Prepare for classes and participate in discussions.
Observe University and Department computer use rules.

Notify the Soil Science main office of illness or other reason you will not be in office or field on any given day.
Observe regular residence hours within the Department as agreed with your major professor and according to University Policy.
Complete all required safety training and other training listed on the "milestones list" and follow safety and other procedures as presented in the training.

Have knowledge of and adhere to generally accepted high principles of academic and research conduct as, for instance, proper acknowledgment of sources.
