General Site Description


This is an aerial view of the BMP quarter section study showing locations of the sites used for the depression focused recharge study. Click on the highlighted areas to get more information about each site or go to a 3-D topography map of the BMP quarter showing the sites.

The objectives of this project were:

  1. Investigate the occurrence of depression focused recharge and the spatial variability of solute movement to a shallow water table due to depression focused infiltration.

  2. Investigate the possibility of rapid, preferential flow to subsurface drains during intense precipitation/irrigation or other recharge events focused in topographic depressional areas.
