North Dakota MSEA - A Minnesota Satellite Site

This satellite site is located near the Oakes Irrigation Research site 4.5 miles south of Oakes, ND. The 21 acre site is located over the Oakes Aquifer, which covers 93 square miles. Two types of soil occur at this site: Embden fine sandy loam and Hecla fine sandy loam. Average depth to the water table is about 10 feet below the land surface.
