In 1997, Aerial photographs were taken of 52 quarter sections in the Oakes Test Area near Oakes, ND. The graphic below is a map of the Oakes Test Area. You can click on areas designated BMP and MSEA on the map to view aerial images of those sites.

Also on the map are the locations of ground water observation wells and subsurface drain access manhole that are monitored for water quality as part of the Remote Sensing Project. Low altitude aerial photographs are also being taken with the aid of a radio controlled airplane.
