Assistantships

Some faculty may have graduate research assistantships available. At NDSU there is a tuition waiver if you have a research assistantship appointment. Check the Assistantships page for currently offered opportunities in the department.

Scholarships

The Department of Soil Science provides eight scholarships each year. These scholarships range from $300 to $2,300 each.

Clarence and Cora Engberg Scholarship

Awarded to a deserving graduate or undergraduate student in Soil Science

Roy A. Erickson Scholarship
Sponsor Representative: The Roy Erickson Family
Awarded to a graduate or undergraduate student in soil science in recognition of academic achievement and professional involvement
2008-2009 Recipients: Sarah Gegner, Joseph Mettler

Enoch and Ruth Norum Scholarship
Sponsor Representative: Dr. Thomas M. Norum and Family
Awarded to a major in Soil Science
2008-2009 Recipient: Joseph Mettler

Dr. Charles Kellogg Scholarship
Benefactor: Leo Anderson Estate
Awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student in Soil Science or Physical/Earth Science option of the Natural Resources Management Program

Ben Hoag Memorial Scholarship

Awarded to a Junior or Senior in Soil Science who is a native of North Dakota
